About

The plug-in provides actions to modify tags for selected file or folder. All tags created by the File Tagging plug-in are prefixed by @. When searching for tags, you do not need to enter the @ prefix.

Usage and Detailed Documentation

  • Add Tags… Append tag(s) to the selected file or folder.
    1. Invoke Quicksilver.
    2. Select a file or folder as the direct object in the first pane.
    3. Set the action to Add Tags… in the second pane.
    4. Enter tags via text mode as the indirect object in the third pane.
    5. Press enter/return to execute the action.

  • Remove Tags… Remove tag(s) from the selected file or folder.
    1. Invoke Quicksilver.
    2. Select a file or folder as the direct object in the first pane.
    3. Set the action to Remove Tags… in the second pane.
    4. Remove the tags via text mode as the indirect object in the third pane.
    5. Press enter/return to execute the action.

  • Set Tags… Set tag(s) to the selected file or folder.
    1. Invoke Quicksilver.
    2. Select a file or folder as the direct object in the first pane.
    3. Set the action to Set Tags… in the second pane.
    4. Enter tags via text mode as the indirect object in the third pane.
    5. Press enter/return to execute the action.

  • Show Files Matching Tag Show all files matching the specified tag. The results will be returned in a Finder Smart Folder.
    1. Invoke Quicksilver.
    2. Select a tag as the direct object in the first pane.
    3. Set the action to Show Files Matching Tag in the second pane.
    4. Press enter/return to execute the action.

  • Show Tags Show all tags for the selected file or folder. Upon execution of the action, the command window will be redisplayed again with the drop-down list showing all tags for the selected file or folder.
    1. Invoke Quicksilver.
    2. Select a file or folder as the direct object in the first pane.
    3. Set the action to Show Tags in the second pane.
    4. Press enter/return to execute the action.

Requirements

  • Quicksilver
  • The Enable advance features option in the Application preference pane must be enabled.

Known Issues

  • Doesn't work with PathFinder
