About

The plug-in adds shortcuts to Backpack pages in the catalog.

Usage and Detailed Documentation

After the plug-in has been installed, click the Add custom source button on the lower left corner of the Catalog preference pane via Quicksilver's preferences. Select Backpack Pages and press enter/return.

A new Backpack Pages source will be listed under Custom. Select the source and click on the Show Info button to reveal the information drawer (if it is not already opened) and click on the Source Options tab at the bottom of the information drawer. Enter the name and API key for the user Backpack account.

Click the Rescan source button to the left of the Show Info button to rescan the source. Once the source has been rescanned (you should see a new count to the right of the source), you will have access to your Backpack pages. Initially, you should have two Backpack pages: Example page and Home page.

The plug-in enables access to your backpack pages. It also enables you to easily send messages to your Backpack pages without logging into your Backpack account through a browser. Refer to the notes section in the Email Support plug-in for more details on sending messages.

Messages can be sent through one of four actions:

  • Email Item… (Send)
  • Email Item… (Send Directly)
  • Email To… (Send)
  • Email To… (Send Directly)

To use the Email Item… actions, Backpack pages must be selected as the direct object in the first pane. To use the Email To… actions, Backpack pages must be selected as the indirect object in the third pane. Refer to the Email Support plug-in for more details.
