About

The plug-in provides basic functionality for switching between different wireless network.

Usage and Detailed Documentation

Make sure that AirPort is turned on. Refer to the Apple KB article for help on connecting to the Internet using AirPort. Any newly detected wireless network will not be listed until System > Devices > AirPort Networks has been rescanned in the Catalog preference pane.

  • Select Network Switch to a selected wireless network.
    1. Invoke Quicksilver.
    2. Select AirPort Networks (Catalog) as the direct object in the first pane and press the right-arrow key.
    3. Select a wireless network from the list.
    4. Set the action to Select Network in the second pane.
    5. Press enter/return to execute the action.

  • Turn AirPort Off Turn off the AirPort connection.
    1. Invoke Quicksilver.
    2. Select Turn AirPort Off as the direct object in the first pane.
    3. Set the action to Run in the second pane.
    4. Press enter/return to execute the action.

  • Turn AirPort On Turn on the AirPort connection.
    1. Invoke Quicksilver.
    2. Select Turn AirPort On as the direct object in the first pane.
    3. Set the action to Run in the second pane.
    4. Press enter/return to execute the action.

Requirements

  • Quicksilver
  • Airport card
  • Wireless network
  • The Enable advanced features option in the Application preference pane must be enabled and the combo box set to Beta.
