Adium is a multi-protocol instant messaging client for Mac OS X. While it is a native Mac OS X app written using Cocoa, it is built on top of libgaim. Visit Adium's website here .

The Adium plug-in is also written using Cocoa. It provides the 'IM' and 'IM text…' actions on contacts and the 'IM to…' and 'Use as Adium status…' actions on text items. It also populates the Adium.app item with the current online contacts.

Select a contact either from your address book or from the contents of Adium.app, then tab over to the action field and choose either 'IM' or 'IM text…'. For more information open the Plug-in preference pane via Quicksilver's preferences.

• The plug-in is currently not available as of version B42 (Corgi)
• Actions only work with AIM contacts
• File transfers cannot be initiated
• Invoking 'Use as Adium status…' causes Adium to crash
• Logs are sometimes not viewable (this has been fixed and an update will be released soon)
• As of version 1.3, Adium changed the way it handles the contact list
